Independence Middle School consists of grades 6-8 and has an enrollment of approximately 90 students. Although they are considered a unique school, the middle school, and high school follow a similar schedule and share the majority of rooms and faculty.

The Wisconsin RtI Center has recognized our school in Behavior at the Bronze level for our work toward fully implementing a system that leads to improved student outcomes. This equitable system helps increase consistency of instruction, enhances staff skills, proactively provides support for all learners, and builds stronger relationships.
